Wednesday, September 27, 2006 - 00:35:07 EST

Based on the best-selling collectable miniature game from WizKids Games, Mage Knight: Destiny’s Soldier stays true to the popular tabletop gaming franchise. With a deep and structured combat system based on the established Mage Knight rules, the player is presented with the most strategic turn-based game to be offered on the Nintendo DS to date. It's compelling story and immense environment ( 80+ maps including villages, forests, mountains, and icy plains ) further immerse the player into Mage Knight's world as they take on the role of Destiny's Soldier, creating and commanding their own custom army ( utilizing 90+ different units of troops ) to defeat the Solonavi and bring peace back to the Land.

With the release of the game at hand lead designer, Mark Maia, told VG Core in a recent interview "Mage Knight consists of more than just a table top game - there are novels, comics, time lines, biographies and history books that outline key events of the MK world in detail. And sticking to those details was very important to us in the making of MKDS..."

Mage Knight: Destiny’s Soldier, published by Namco Bandai Games America Inc. and rated “E 10+” for ages 10 and up by the ESRB, is now available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $29.99.
