Based on the critical hit Rayman 2: The Great Escape, the Montreal-developed DS version of Rayman features 3D platforming action in 45 different areas. Levels progress through areas such as waterfalls, sea caves, and pirate hideouts. The varied stages put Rayman's unique abilities to use: running, jumping, skiing, swimming, and flying...as well as flying rockets and riding whirlwinds are all part of a days work for our hero. On the Nintendo DS, players will be able to monitor their progress, track their collected Lums, and keep an eye on Rayman's health on the bottom touch screen. Aside from just completing the levels, the other main objective of the game is to collect yellow "Lums" and finding cages throughout all the levels. Rayman is once again joined by a host of oddball creatures, such as the flying frog Murphy and the gaseous Globox. |
